Jamshidi Intraosseous (IO) Needle, Adjustable Depth Spacer, 15 Gauge x 1 7/8". These disposable intraosseous infusion needles provide for a safe and simple technique to gain vascular access for delivering fluids and drugs to critically ill or injured children. They feature a sharp lancet point to facilitate entry into the bone and Luer slip/Luer lock connection for secure fit to any syringe. An adjustable guard helps control depth in needle insertion. A twist-off cap holds the stylet securely in place. Intraosseous infusion is recommended only in life-threatening emergencies where vascular access is critical and conventional forms of access are not available or unobtainable. 15 gauge for 9 months or older and 18 gauge for younger than 9 months.
