Sklar Cervex Brush- Cervical Cell Collector, Gynecological instrument. Provides the most comprehensive and efficient means of cervical sampling to insure highly accurate Pap test readings. In on step, The Brush collects the broad spectrum of clinical cells, including the transformation zone, thereby eliminating the more complex brush and spatulua approach. Instructions for use: Depending on methodology, record patient information on the patient record card and the appropriate accessory. e.g.- microscope slide or transport tube. Do not use lubricant in the vagina prior to cervical sampling with the brush. Perform vaginal sampling before doing manual examination. Insert the longest, central bristles of the brush into the endocervical canal. Apply gentle pressure until the shorter, side brisles bend from contact with the ecto-cervix. While maintaining gentle pressure sufficient to keep the side bristles bent, hold the stem between thumb and forefinger and rotate the brush five times in a clockwise direction.
