Use these face masks as an alternative to nasal masks for patients with respiratory failure, respiratory insufficiency or obstructive sleep apnea who require CPAP or pressure support therapy in the home or hospital. By providing therapy through both the nose and the mouth, these masks may help eliminate mouth leak and may help alleviate dryness and discomfort sometimes caused by leaks associated with nasal interfaces. Features include a quick release, which allows the patient or caregiver to quickly remove the mask if necessary, and a fresh air entrainment valve, which opens the circuit to room air if circuit pressure is lost, minimizing CO2 rebreathing.
